Welcoming a New Era: Election of OSQI Chairperson at YAHQI Islamic Boarding School

The YAHQI Islamic Boarding School once again held a significant event: the Election of the Chairman of the YAHQI Student Organization (OSQI). This event marked a significant milestone in the school's calendar. It was a democratic celebration involving all students in electing a new leader for the 2025 term. Embracing the spirit of democracy and Islamic values, the event was conducted with enthusiasm and solemnity.

Closing of the 2024 Term of Service

December 2024 marks the end of Ukhti Wulan's term as Chairperson of OSQI (President Director). During her tenure, Ukhti Wulan delivered a brief speech, which included her hopes for the future of OSQI. She also expressed her gratitude to all students for their support during her tenure.

Rangkaian Acara Pemilihan Ketua OSQI

A beautiful recitation of the Quran solemnly opened the event. A speech from Ukhti Wulan began the evening's activities. This was followed by the presentation of awards to outstanding students from the previous term.

The highlight of the event was the simultaneous election held at each hujrah. Afterward, Abuya led the inauguration and oath of office for the elected president director. Ukhti Wulan also presented a sash and pin, symbolizing the handover of her trust to the elected president director.

President Director of OSQI 2025

This year, each of the hujroh (Islamic board) nominated three different candidates. However, only one was ultimately selected and advanced to become President Director of OSQI 2025:

• Ukhti Puspita from Al-A’raf’s room
• Ukhti Rafika from Al-Kahfi's room
• Ukhti Fida from Al-Furqon room

Previously, the candidates had the opportunity to deliver speeches before all the students. The speeches aimed to explain each candidate's vision and mission for leading OSQI going forward. The speeches also served as a benchmark for the students in selecting their preferred President Director.

Leadership Advice from Abuya

On this occasion, Abuya offered profound guidance and advice on the importance of total leadership. He advised that every leader must be able to bring about change, leave a legacy of goodness, and carry out their mandate with full responsibility.

The event concluded with a group photo session of the elected president director, directors, and mentors. An atmosphere filled with emotion and joy marked the end of the series of activities.
