Sambangan: A Moment to Releasing Longing

YAHQI Islamic Boarding School held a Sambangan Santri Baru event on Sunday, September 15, 2024. The event took place at 09.00. This event was attended by the students and their guardians who were very enthusiastic about welcoming this special moment after more than 41 days of not seeing their children.

The series of events began with a Hadroh performance by YAHQI students, further building a comfortable atmosphere. The MCs, Ukhti Neva and Ukhti Alifa, confidently guided the proceedings. Ukhti Ainur and Ukhti Tasya then recited the Tilawah and Sari Tilawah, followed by the singing of the Pesantren March, which echoed throughout the hall.

Good change is a special gift

Not to forget, there was a speech from Ukhti Rafika and Ukhti. This visit was not only a moment to relieve longing but also a proud moment for their parents because they could see the development of their daughters during more than a month of boarding at the Islamic boarding school. Changes such as becoming more courageous, more polite are certainly a beautiful gift for the guardians of the students. Next, the training and warm welcome from the Islamic boarding school caretaker further reinforced important messages for new students and guardians. Abuya reminded the guardians of the students to be sincere in boarding their daughters so that the children have an easy time learning and feel at home at the Islamic boarding school.

The most touching part was the students' performance, including the song "Ratapan Hati" (The Lamentations of the Heart) from Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School and a heartfelt poem. The performance moved the parents, who were moved by the positive changes their daughters had undergone during their time at the school. Finally, Abuya closed the event with a prayer. Then, they ate together before the students had to say goodbye to their parents. Finally, a handshake with the school's caretaker marked the end of the event.

The event left a lasting impression on the parents of the students. They were not only proud of their daughters' abilities, who could now MC and deliver speeches, but also delighted to see the transformation that had occurred during their time at the Islamic boarding school. The enthusiasm of all participants, both students and parents, was evident from the event from beginning to end.
