YAHQI Islamic Boarding School Welcomes Visiting UKM Doctoral Lecturers
Visit of UKM Doctoral Lecturers to YAHQI Islamic Boarding School
On Friday night, the atmosphere at the YAHQI Islamic Boarding School was different than usual. At precisely 6:30 PM WIB, all the students gathered in the hall for a motivational session with Ms. Ifelda Nengsih, a lecturer currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She was accompanied by Ms. Rina, a colleague who accompanied her during the visit.
The event was held separately between the central complex and the Al-Furqon complex, allowing all students to participate more focused. The event was opened by an MC, followed by the singing of the YAHQI March, which echoed enthusiastically throughout the hall.
An Inspiring Life Journey
After that, Ms. Ifelda began sharing a touching piece of her life story. She spoke of her childhood, filled with limitations. Born into a humble family, she often faced insults from those around her. However, rather than being discouraged, these insults fueled her motivation to rise up and prove her abilities.
With strong determination and unwavering prayer, she diligently pursued her education. Her long struggle paid off. She graduated with honors, achieving a 3.9 GPA, and then continued her studies to the master's level. She is now a doctoral student at UKM, a renowned university in Malaysia.
According to the QS World University Rankings 2025, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) is ranked fourth in ASEAN. This achievement demonstrates that a passion for learning and hard work can propel someone to the international stage.
Message about the Power of Education and Prayer
In her speech, Ms. Ifelda emphasized the importance of championing education. She reminded the students that knowledge is a path to elevating human dignity in the sight of God. She also emphasized the importance of not being intimidated by financial constraints.
"If we have good intentions, Allah will make the way sufficient," he said confidently.
He shared a personal story. In 2009, he set a goal of pursuing a master's degree, even though he didn't know how the funds would come from. But with determination and prayer, God truly opened the way.
"The important thing is that we write it down, we intend it, then we put it into action," he advised.
Students' Enthusiasm in the Question and Answer Session
The event concluded with a question-and-answer (Q&A) session. Students enthusiastically asked questions. Some didn't even have a chance to get a turn due to time constraints. Nevertheless, the enthusiasm and awe were evident on the students' faces.
Conclusion: The Spirit That Never Extinguishes
That night, the YAHQI Islamic Boarding School became not only a place of learning, but also a place to rekindle the spirit of struggle. Ibu Ifelda Nengsih's story is living proof that with intention and effort, God will surely provide a path for every dream.
