Santri Excursion: Al-Kahfi Dormitory
Night Falls: Time to Rest
After the journey, the group arrived at the location late at night. Upon arrival at the Basekan Farm and Branch, there was no specific agenda other than resting to recover from the journey. Adequate rest is essential for the next day's busy activities.
Core Activities: Outbound and Motivational Night
The next morning, the fresh air of Madiun greeted the start of activities. Outbound activities were the main agenda, featuring various games that tested teamwork, dexterity, and problem-solving skills. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, yet still taught the importance of teamwork and communication.
That evening, the students participated in a motivational session to encourage them to continue their enthusiasm for learning. The evening concluded with a movie night, a simple moment that fostered camaraderie among the participants. The following day, there was one final activity: a water game, concluding the Basekan program. After completing all the activities, the students quickly cleaned up and prepared to check out of the facility.
Memorization is Maintained
Between their journeys, both on their way there and back, the students continued to study the Quran. The recitation of holy verses on the bus served as a reminder that memorizing and preserving the Quran can be done anywhere.
Stop at an Interesting Place
On Tuesday afternoon, September 9, 2025, after Dhuhr prayers, we departed Basekan to return to Bojonegoro. On the way home, we stopped by one of Madiun's famous icons. Yes, we visited Miniature World. There, students took photos in front of replicas of various famous icons, such as the Singapore Merlion, the Statue of Liberty, the Kaaba, and the Eiffel Tower—an experience that broadened our horizons and certainly left us with lasting memories.
The group also stopped at the An Nahda Mosque in Bojonegoro. Its magnificent Middle Eastern-style architecture left a lasting impression as the students prayed and rested while admiring the building's Middle Eastern architecture.
Closing Trip
This educational trip provides an opportunity for students to refresh their minds and strengthen their sense of community. Upon returning from this activity, hopefully, the students' enthusiasm for learning and determination will continue to grow stronger, bringing valuable experiences into their daily life at the Islamic boarding school.
